NPMotW Wānanga for 2018

Over the course of 2018, there will be a number of wānanga, hui, hikoi and events organised and carried out by our project team.

Many of These events will only be for a specific target audience in order to meet the needs of our project outcomes, however, we will be opening certain events to the wider community.

Our Objectives

To provide some perspective on what we are trying to accomplish with these events we have posted our project objectives below.

  • To generate awareness and increase knowledge of local Māori history, whakapapa and tikanga in the Wairau.
  • To provide ahi kā whānau with a platform to learn about our traditional knowledge.
